Kyoto sightseeing is also highly recommended!

Whether you're strolling through the vibrant streets of Osaka or enjoying a quiet moment steeped in Kyoto's history, this is the place for you.

If you use "Bande Hotel in Namba" as your base, you can achieve both at once.
It takes only about an hour to get from our hotel to Kyoto Station.
From Kyoto Station, take a bus to the gateway to an infinitely expanding world. Step off at JR Kyoto Station, and you'll find yourself in the thousand-year-old capital.
There is a large bus terminal in front of the station, with a wide range of routes to various destinations.
We headed towards Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion, walking along the cobblestone streets.
Take a trip to Kinkaku-ji Temple or Arashiyama and be soothed by the changing seasons and nature.
At Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, I was captivated by the vermilion of the countless torii gates stretching as far as the eye could see.
No matter what your destination is, you won't get lost if you start from Kyoto Station.

[Nara Sightseeing] A trip to see the Great Buddha and the deer. Just over an hour's journey from our hotel.
Image description

Convenient for sightseeing in Nara

From Bande Hotel in Namba, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes by train to reach Kintetsu Nara Station.
Step out of the station and you're already in "Nara, the ancient capital."
Just a 15-minute walk from the station, you'll be greeted by adorable deer at Nara Park.
Furthermore, there is the magnificent Great Buddha of Todai-ji Temple and the towering five-story pagoda of Kofuku-ji Temple.
And then there's Kasuga Taisha Shrine, lined with mystical lanterns.
All of these major World Heritage sites are located within easy walking distance.
Additionally, there are cafes and general stores housed in renovated old townhouses.
The **"Naramachi"** area is also just a short walk from the station.

Searching for your favorite souvenirs and gourmet spots amidst the retro streets is one of the great pleasures of a trip to Nara.

A day trip to Mount Koya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Image description

[Koyasan] To the sacred place in the sky

Mount Koya, a World Heritage site with a 1200-year history, is located at an altitude of approximately 800 meters.

It takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there using the Nankai Electric Railway and cable car.
Stepping off the train at Koyasan Station, you'll find yourself in a completely different world, a sanctuary above the clouds, where the air feels entirely different from the world below.
From the station, you can access various attractions by taking a dedicated bus route.
Okunoin: The largest sacred site on Mount Koya, with over 200,000 gravestones and memorial stones.
Danjo Garan: A symbol of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, where the vividly vermilion "Konpon Daito" (Great Pagoda) stands tall.
Kongobu-ji Temple: The head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect, and its main attraction is one of the largest rock gardens in Japan.
A staff recommendation: Because Mount Koya is at a high altitude, the temperature is about 5 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than in Osaka city.
While it's an ideal summer retreat, it's a good idea to bring an extra layer of clothing to wear in spring and autumn.
